You can create your own videos, but the whole platform is really about AI girlfriends, not about shorts. It’s kind of cool how you can look at other creators’ generated babes with their backstory and all. The top creators have generated hundreds of characters and it looks like most have a knack for anime. You can skim through them and choose who to chat with or even generate your own images based on that character. GirlfriendGPT feels more like a community than a cash cow.

GirlfriendGPT Review: Generate Image

Let’s build my 26 year old latina with big butts and boobs. I could choose the quick build option, but you know me, I’m a girlfriend connoisseur and want to take my time creating my dream babe. The quick build works the same way it does everywhere else, hair color, body type and so on, but here I can freely enter a prompt instead. This gives me so much more possibility to create the character I want, e.g. I can make her cheeky which so far I never could anywhere else. I panic under all this freedom and just write this prompt:

“Build my 26 year old latina with big butts and boobs. She is a stripper, a nympho, and cheeky and quite naive. She thinks I’m a doctor even though I’m just a pizza delivery guy. she is naturally very horny and loves doggy and sucking dick.”

The image generation takes a tiny bit longer than elsewhere, but hey, you get 30 free credits and one image costs 6, so after my first one I still had 4 more in the tank. I’m just not sure why there is another guy on the picture, he’s killing the vibe, so I just generate a new one. And again she has a dick in her. Oh well, I did say she is horny so I roll with it.

GirlfriendGPT Review: Character Tags

In the next step I get to assign her tags, so that others can search for her I suppose and filter. Some of these freak me out, e.g. I could make her an alien. Who wants a roleplay scenario with an alien? And immersive experience with E.T. Ah wait, we’re on the internet, why am I surprised.

Ok, next level are custom descriptions and because I’m funny, I add exactly this under Description. I can also enter Personality, Scenario, and First Message and I freestyle like an MC in the 90s. I chose a sexy dark voice and finally create my perfect fantasy.

GirlfriendGPT Review: Chat

Let me talk to my naive latina and test if she’s really believing that I’m a doctor. First I get to customize my chat experience, this is really next level!

I hope you’re not surprised that I set her to explicit. And just when I try to save it all, I hit a paywall. Ok, deleting all these damn settings again, let her be herself then.

Remember how I said that I’m funny before? I had set her first message to “I want to fuck you right now”, so naturally my answer in the chat is “Ok”. To which I receive this message which makes my cock a tiny bit softer again:

I wish it wasn’t so obviously AI written. It totally makes sense to pay from here going forward.

GirlfriendGPT Review: Verdict

GirlfriendGPT is definetely the one for people who like building things. The free prompt instead of preset sliders is the big one, I could write my chatbot girl exactly how I wanted her, cheeky and naive and all, which no other platform let me do. Add the tags, the custom Description, Personality, Scenario and First Message, and you’re basically writing a character sheet, not filling out a form. And browsing other creators’ babes with their full backstories makes the whole thing feel like a community instead of a machine built to take your money.

But the paywall sits in an annoying spot. Of course this is by design and the same throughout every AI character platform. They show you every chat setting there is, chat length, POV, formatting, sexiness, language, let you pick them all, and then charge you the second you hit save. So my girl talks the way she wants, not the way I set her up. And the writing itself is the weak part, that first reply read like a romance novel that got generated at 3am. Also, one ethnicity and one religion in the whole tag list is just lazy.

That’s my GirlfriendGPT review: worth it if you want to build a character properly and actually enjoy the setup part. Less worth it if you just want to talk, because the free version hands you a girl you can’t tune and prose you have to read twice to get through.

Yes, 30 free credits on signup. One image costs 6, so that’s five images before you pay anything. Character creation is free too, including the full prompt builder, tags and all the custom fields. Chatting works, but the chat settings don’t.

Partly. There’s a Sexiness setting with a Baseline and an Explicit option, so the platform clearly does explicit. But the second I hit save on my settings, I hit the paywall. So you can build an NSFW character for free, you just can’t dial up how she talks until you pay.

4. How customizable are the characters on GirlfriendGPT?

This is where GirlfriendGPT beats everyone. Instead of the usual preset sliders you get a free text prompt, so you write her exactly how you want her. I made mine cheeky and naive, which no other platform let me do. On top of that there’s up to 10 tags, plus custom Description, Personality, Scenario, First Message and voice. It’s less like filling out a form and more like writing a character sheet.

5. Can she send photos and voice messages on GirlfriendGPT?

Images yes, and you can generate more from any character on the platform, including other creators’ ones. Voice is in there too, I picked a sexy dark one during setup. Images run on credits though, 6 a pop, so it’s not unlimited.

6. Does GirlfriendGPT have realistic characters, anime, or both?

Both, but the community leans heavily anime. The top creators have generated hundreds of characters each and most of them clearly have a knack for anime. Realistic works fine, it’s just not what the front page is full of.

7. How good is the chat on GirlfriendGPT, does it feel real or does it stall?

It doesn’t stall, it just talks too much. My first reply was a full scene with velvet curtains and neon signs, and it read very obviously AI written. There are settings to fix exactly that, chat length, descriptiveness, POV, formatting, sexiness and language, but they’re behind the paywall, so on the free version you get her the way she comes.

8. Who is GirlfriendGPT best for?

Guys who enjoy the building part. If you want to write your girl from scratch, give her a backstory and a scenario and see what other people have made, this is the best one out there for that. If you just want to open an app and talk to someone hot without setting anything up, you’ll get bored of the prompt box fast.
